What you ought to know about the Eucharist

Jesus wanted to give his followers a continuing sign of his presence and love for them, which would sustain them even if they could no longer physically see him. At the Mass we believe that Jesus is really present, just as He was present two thousand years ago

St. Agnes Mission church

To support the rapid growth of our congregation, we are building the St. Agnes church -- our mission church for parishioners living in the Eastern part of Collier County. An equally innovative liturgical design, as accomplished at St. John the Evangelist, will be showcased at the beautiful 36-acre site where construction for St. Agnes is underway. Fr. Glackin expressed interest in creating a Southwestern feeling with a modern twist for what would eventually be St. Agnes Church.

St. Agnes will feature a spacious 1200+ seat sanctuary with seating nearly in the round and towering ceilings. There will be a separate chapel adjacent to the Church, which will handle daily mass, funerals, small weddings and the like. A water feature will meander through the site navigating under the Chapel and into the narthex of the church continuing out to the other side of the site.

Landscaping will play a large part in the ultimate design of the Church, as it is the wish of Fr. Glackin to bring the outside inside with large windows and translucent stained glass. The Southwestern look and feel is accomplished wonderfully by the creation of two large bell towers straddling the entrance into the Narthex. Jerusalem Stone will frame the exterior windows and doors and be a main feature on the interior walls of the Church.

While construction is underway, Mass is celebrated in the Gulf Coast High School on Immokalee Road.
